RACE ACROSS FRANCE CHALLENGE

Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur 300Km

⚠️SOLD OUT ⚠️Discover our next Challenge "Rhône Alpes", 300km & 500km distance - 1st & 2nd June 2019

Race Across PA.C.A highlights the best cycling spot in the region, Provence Alpes cote d'Azur.

A region with 5 million inhabitants, 6 departments and an exceptional quality of life with an attractive climate.

The route will take us on many small roads that delight cyclists from all over the world, but also between vineyards, olive trees, orchards and lavender fields in the heart of the wilderness.

The opportunity to discover breathtaking landscapes without forgetting the ascent of the mythical Mt Ventoux.

Provence enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with lots of sunshine.
Conditions are at their best in May when temperatures fluctuate around 23°C as soon as the sun abounds, and roads are generally free of holidaymakers. Mornings can be a little cooler but the sun rarely goes below 10 degrees.

The Mistral, this well-known wind, hits Provence all year round. It is a strong wind that can reach 100 km/h and blow for a whole day or even several days in a row. It is sometimes possible that a rainy day slips in here and there.

So be prepared to deal with a wide variety of conditions.

Even if the weather is normally fine, it is always good to prepare for cooler weather and/or rain. We strongly recommend that you bring warm equipment for the descent of Mont Ventoux which can become dangerous for your health if you are poorly equipped.
